School Schedules
Remote Learning
- UPK-12th grade students will not be in attendance in the school building.
- Remote learning Monday - Friday. Teachers are in attendance daily unless deemed nonessential.
- Instruction deployed through Google Classroom and Zoom.
- Student attendance taken daily.
- Building/district programming coordinated with BOCES for CTE students and Whitney Point for our contracted students.
- No on-site child care will be available.
Hybrid
- Grades UPK-5th will attend Appleby daily.
- Starting the week of February 22, 2021, Grade 6 will attend school at Appleby in person on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
- Starting the week of February 22, 2021, Grade 7 will attend school at the Junior/Senior High School in person on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
- Starting the week of February 22, 2021, Grade 8 will attend school at the Junior/Senior High School in person on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
- Starting the week of January 4, 2021, Grades 9-12 will attend school at the Junior/Senior High School in person on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
- Student attendance must be taken daily. Once a day for UPK-6th and every period for grades 7-12.
- Students move to their first period class/homeroom upon arrival to the building.
- Learning platforms used district wide-Google Classroom and Zoom.
- All staff including teachers, TAs, and aides are in attendance daily.
- PE will be outside or in an alternate location when possible. When indoors students will maintain a distance of 12’ when completing aerobic activity.
- Distance of 12’ will be maintained when singing in chorus/music and playing wind instruments in band.
- At Appleby, students stay with their cohort in one classroom throughout the day.
- Students bring their belongings to their classroom. (Lockers will not be used, cubbies will be used when socially distanced) Students use their own materials- no sharing of materials.
- Staff will have a master schedule and individual schedules dictating academic times, lunch/recess, special areas, and contractual items (lunch, prep, arrival and dismissal).
- After school and late buses will be suspended.
- Building/district schedule aligned with BOCES for CTE students and Whitney Point for our contracted students.
- OCM BOCES and out of district special education students will attend in-person programming Monday-Friday.
- After school child care for students in grades 6 and lower will be available through the YWCA if the program is running and they are able to adhere to district COVID-19 guidelines.
Full In-Person with Heightened Health and Safety Protocols
- Staff will have a traditional master schedule and individual schedules dictating academic times, lunch/recess, special areas, and contractual items (lunch, prep, arrival and dismissal).
- Junior High/High School (7-12) students and teachers follow the traditional 9 period schedule, Monday-Friday.
- CTE students and out of district program students will attend their programs in person.
- After school child care for students in grades 6 and lower will be available through the YWCA if the program is running and they are able to adhere to district COVID-19 guidelines.
