Facilities

  • The district plan does not include any changes or additions to facilities.
  • All district buildings are in compliance with the last building condition survey done in 2015.  The next BCS is scheduled for 2024.
  • The Lead-in water testing is scheduled for Fall of 2020 and will be completed using the district's COVID-19 protocols.
  • Existing and new Alcohol-based Hand-Rub Dispensers which will be installed will be in accordance with FCNYS 2020 Section 5705.5.
  • Buildings will not install dividers in classrooms, libraries, cafeterias, auditoriums, gymnasiums, doors, and other points of congregation.
  • District buildings will not have new construction or temporary quarter projects which would need to be submitted to OFP for a full code review.
  • The district will not lease any new spaces.
  • The district will not use temporary or permanent tents.
  • The number of existing toilet and sink fixtures meet the minimum standards of the BCNYS. Students and staff will be required to wear masks in bathrooms unless it is a single occupancy bathroom. 
  • All buildings have more than one drinking fountain per one hundred occupants.
  • All school buildings will increase the fresh air ventilation rate to the extent possible to aid in maintaining a healthy indoor air quality. 
  • Be sure diffusers, exhausts, and unit vents are not blocked or obstructed by cabinets, books, or other materials.
  • Open windows and doors to maximize fresh air flow through the classroom.
  • Consider the use of window and box fans to cross ventilate rooms to exhaust stale room air. Keep in mind any health, safety, and security concerns with open windows and doors.
  • The district will have no project submissions related to COVID-19.
  • Custodial and transportation staff will maintain logs that include the date, time, and scope of cleaning and disinfection in a facility or area.
  • High touch areas will be cleaned and disinfected frequently throughout the day.
