Attendance & Chronic Absenteeism

• Utilizing Schooltool, attendance will be taken daily (ES) and recorded period by period (HS) in Schooltool.

• Student attendance will be monitored by all stakeholders.

• Students that fall below attendance thresholds for chronic absenteeism; parents will be contacted utilizing letters, phone calls, and home visits based on not meeting those thresholds.

• Students who continue to not attend school after repeated school interventions will be referred to outside agencies.

• Student attendance will be reported in SIRS.

• Staff daily attendance will be recorded through the business office.

• The district will ask for updated emergency contacts - it is recommended that sick children not be picked up by people who are at high risk of contracting COVID-19.
