Transportation runs will have two students to a seat. Students will be seated with members of the same household when possible.
Pursuant to the CDC's Order, physical distancing is not required on school buses.
A student without a mask will be provided a mask by the driver/monitor/attendant and be referred to the building principal for continued discussion of mask wearing. Students who are unable to medically tolerate a face covering, including students where such covering would impair their physical health or mental health are not subject to the required use of a face covering with prior approval of the building principal. (Documentation will need to be on file prior to riding without a face covering.) Unmasked students will be socially distanced from other students.
Students will need to adhere to bus rules including but not limited to: no eating or drinking on the bus; masks must be kept on at all times; keeping hands and feet to self, etc.
When safe, windows will be lowered to improve ventilation.
All buses (conforming and non-conforming to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Standards, as well as type A, C or D) which are used every day by districts and contract carriers will be cleaned/disinfected once a day.
All school bus drivers, monitors, attendants and mechanics will wear face coverings.
The Marathon transportation department shall provide Personal Protective Equipment such as masks and gloves for drivers, monitors and attendants in buses.
Hand sanitizer will be provided for all staff in their transportation locations such as dispatch offices, employee lunch/break rooms and/or bus garages.
